Task 6 Google maps
I've used google maps lots of times before but never used Whereisit until today. I think I'll stick with google maps. I put 5 or so locations at Torquay in at Whereisit, but none were recognised. I used churches, bus stop addresses, and supermarkets but none could be located. All work in google maps so I'll stick with that. I didn't know you could edit google maps and add locations. The mind boogles. I wonder prevents inappropriate addresses from being lodged?

I'm the opposite, I've always used Whereis rather than Google Maps but I suspect that is simply because I discovered Whereis first and as I was usualy hunting in Austalian towns it wasn't an issue. I wonder where its home base is? In all honesty, if I'm searching locally I still use the good old refidex. Back to Google I didn't know either that you could add bits to it. I can imagine the 'fun' someone could have with that. Surely it must be controlled in some manner or we'd have already seen hundreds of odd entries pop up. Can think of several funny ones though.
